We go into 2009 carrying over 400 hours (36 hours last year) of edutainment and comedy, making this one of the most content-packed channels on YouTube. There are 695 clips going into the New Year (360 at the start) and about 100 of those added this year were of cammed talk radio programmes with the best UK talk radio talent: the largest video archive of talk radio on the net. In 2009 my aim is to reach 1000 videos. The new content will be described in my New Year Address. Subscribers will not be disappointed, but new radio is not on the menu for now.
BTW, the 613 subscribers I had at the start of 2008 grew to 1,531 at 31/12/2008. I would like to get to 3,000 in 2009. The 33,603 channel views grew to 69,791 and I'd like it to hit 100,000 in 2009.
The total video views went up in the year from 474,295 to 1,305,400 and I'm hoping for this to hit 3 million in 2009.
Please watch, give feedback, subscribe and spread the word, and help achieve the goals for the channel in 2009!

About Me:
Hometown:
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Country:
Poland
Occupation:
Accountant, Auditor, Business Consultant, Proofreader, Writer, Translator
Hobbies:
Languages, literature, fishkeeping, internet, vlogging, travel, walking, writing, filming.
Movies:
Alternative comedy shows such as the Fast Show, Harry Enfield, etc. I like a lot of movies, but don't get to the cinema much. Got "A touch of Frost" box set for Christmas, and will enjoy that, but other than that and "Lost" I barely watch any TV. Some TV stuff I catch up with on here.
Music:
Easy listening, country music, and classical, anything that uses the human voice. I am not very genre-based but I like music that I can sing. What I cannot bear is people who drive or talk with music just in the background. Either you are listening to music or not.
Books:
Too many to list! But I think Alexander Mc Call Smith is probably the greatest contemporary writer. Enjoying Zamoyski's history books right now.

I really love the channel. I was recently researching Uberto Eco. Is Semiotics a junk science. I only founf one school in Toronto that teaches it as a discipline. I understand it is new but is it relevent for a linguistics academic?

Why is it that the hard shoulder of motorways is reserved for broken down cars whilst the rest of us who have the good sense to keep our cars in good working order are forced to sit in jams on the road itself. Surely it should be the other way round. The mainly empty hard shoulder should be for responsible drivers only while those who cant be bothered to service their vehicles and have broken down should be in the traffic jam!

According to CEE Packaging magazine, there is a special foil wrap that keeps food fresh for one week. I was so impressed that I went and bought some. Only I ate the entire packet in one go as soon as I got home. I don't know how these media moguls think they can get away with fooling the public all the time.

They could have sold the barbed wire for scrap metal and even made a profit on it, but I expect they got taken for a ride by the Americans.

I've just heard that the cost of the reunification of Germany was EUR1.6bn. Given that West Germany and East Germany shared a common land border, I fail to see why reunification should have cost anything, given that they were already stuck together. Looks like someone has conned the Germans if you ask me.

Huliganov, you have in your Russian videos several times mentioned the importance of stresses on vowels that can change the meaning of a word altogether (similar to "dove" in English) and "zamak" and "zamok in Russian. HOW does one tell where a stress goes in a word since it is not written?

Hi! I've just seen your performance on polish channel Tvn :) can you really speak 20 languages? you are my hero then :) I can speak English but I wouldnt say that my English is perfect.. I also learn how to speak French but its much more difficult :) Probably because I've never been in France :) My congratulation because you did a great job as everyone realizes that not many people can speak 20 laguages :) take care, Ewelin x

This anti ageing cream is a right con if you ask me. I got some for my birthday last year, used it every day and was therefore shocked on my birthday to learn that I am now a year older..... exactly what I would have been had I not used it in the first place.
