A piece of music commissioned by Steve Rosse: www.tubamania.com. Le Petit Point Rouge is the little red dot. The little red dot on the map that is Singapore. Small, but busy, chaotic, beautiful. It is a Tuba Concerto written for Steve Rosse. Members of the Brass Section of the Singapore Wind Symphony, under the direction of Adrian Tan, perform the first movement of the piece with Steve on March 17th.
This is a very virtuosic piece of music for both the ensemble and the Soloist. Performed well, and to an appreciative audience. Please if you choose to comment, be nice or don't comment. The people in this video perform for the sake of performance, for the sake of music. Without such people: art, music, and eventually culture would die. The hope is that at least one person that saw the performance live, or one person that sees this video will be inspired to pick up a musical instrument and play. After all, to have the heart of a child is to play.
